Like most of the costumes on this site, this was a one-of-a-kind piece hand crafted by an Egyptian artisan. THIS COSTUME CAN NOT BE ORDERED. Will there be more? Individual artisans will occasionally repeat designs, but never exactly and rarely in the same color. It's impossible to say if or when these will show up or in what size or color. Made in Egypt. Spectacular. Fabric is a deep red with metallic overlay of very close miniscule randomly spaced brighter red, the result is incredibly rich and photos probably don't do it justice. Skirt has dark red/burgundy mesh insets on both sides, starts about 1" down from top and goes all the way to hem, narrow at top and widening towards bottom. The beautiful flaring sleeves can either be worn on the upper arm so that the opening breaks at the elbow, or lower down so that the opening is at the wrist. All photos here are with the sleeves higher up, except for on the left side of the page, the second one down.

Beadwork covers entire skirt, just amazing. The heavy beadwork on hips and bra has loads and loads of real glass strung rhinestones worked into the design. Eight large high quality acrylic crystals in hip bead work, plus a number of very pretty pink smaller flower shaped stones at the center of beaded flowers. Two large crystals on bra and the smaller pink ones, and lots and lots of rhinestones.

Intricate beadwork uses many types of beads, as far as I can tell all glass, no metallics. Base color is gold (gold glass square cut bugles, long traditional bugles, large and small seed beads). Clear glass large seed beads also used extensively, other colors/types. Sequins are primarily clear iridescent dark pinks/reds, holographic golds.

The fringe is a real stand out. Accent groups of 3 strands, twisted bugles (very flashy) of gold and silver, large red glass seed beads, tipped with these great, large pearlized red plastic rounds. Lots of great movement, balances large amount of beadwork well. Bra has center bunch, five accent groups on each cup.

Bra has shoulder straps. Skirt is fitted at hips, flares towards bottom. Short back center zipper. There are actually a total of six gores (panels) inlcuding the mesh (more gores generally means nicer movement and more flare). Center slit which is a bit high. In photos I had it pinned several inches down, easy to just put a few stitches in. Gathered above slit (with curving line of rhinestones), front center of skirt dips slightly.

All edges of skirt and hanging sleeves trimmed with looping glass gold seed bead and iridescent red sequins.

Accessories: 3/4 length gauntlets with long hanging sleeves.

Sizing: Small-Medium

Bra: Cups are nicely shaped, relatively but not overly deep, a little more toward the horizontal shape than a tall, plunging shape. Should fit range including: possibly 32 C/D, cups probably would need to be moved together; 34 A+ (will need lots of padding, but cups seem to lay well against body), 34 B/C+; 36 A (w/padding)/B/small C.
Skirt Top: Fabric relaxed = 27", stretches to 33".Has no elastic. Will fit inch or two smaller with elastic added. Likely will need elastic for most sizes due to weight of skirt. Even if skirt fits with it's own stretch, it's advisable to add elastic as the fabric will not hold its memory forever. See easy tip here.
