c0876 Orange Crystal and Chiffon Belly Dance Costume $200
SALE $165
SOLD OUT
This was a single run of a custom order, a one-of-a-kind group; once they're gone, they are gone. THIS COSTUME CAN NOT BE ORDERED INDIVIDUALLY. Will there be more? Extras of troupe orders are always made, many of which are sold through this site. It's possible the stray piece will show up, but it's impossible to know when/how many. It's also possible that a popular costume will be made again in multiples for off-the-rack sales, but it can't be said when.TROUPE ORDERS - (5 or more) It's impossible to have costumes EXACTLY duplicated. However, as with any troupe order, you can place an order (5 or more) based on this style. Contact Karolinka for information on troupe orders.
1/19/07: I (and most costumes) leave town Tuesday 1/22. You must order by 5 pm EST Monday 1/21 to be sure you get a costume. Processing/packing of orders received between now and then will not begin until at least Wednesday 1/30, and there is already a backlog. Time to ship may be up to 10 business days. BEST THING to help me post as many costumes for you to buy before they leave: Use "expedited ordering" - send in payment for the costume, I will send you shipment cost (possibly not until I get back) which you pay in second transaction. Read details in "How To Order".
Made in Egypt. Gorgeous colors, loaded with crystals.
Skirt is full circle and a half, rich orange, not neon and not brownish, just NICE. Pull on, elastic waist, front and back pieces are separate to the top (that is, there are to slits from hem to top), and are connected on elastic (full casing).
Bra and belt covered with flat iridescent orange sequins, really lovely. Designs in gold, red, silver glass seed beads, clear iridescent orange, melon and amber sequins. Each cross type design is centered with a real glass 7/16" round crystals, with three smaller crystals extending out arms. Each circle or half circle design is also centered with one of the larger rounds. Glass seed bead Egyptian fringe in alternating swatches of gold and orange along belt bottom edge. Center straight fringe on bra (these vary between gold, orange, or mix), plus long swag under right cup. Very, very slight differences in some beadwork (which colors of designs are where, primarily, nothing major).
Bra has shoulder straps. Belt fastens on left side, are straight across front. It's possible to line up one of the crosses in the center front, but absolutely not necessary, so belts can be adjusted significantly without destroying symmetry.
Accessories: None None (bracelets shown not included).
Age/Condition: New.

Age/Condition: New. However, the skirt hems were not made well (not to worry, this doesn't reflect the quality of the rest of the costume. Looks like someone who didn't know how to use a serger did these, has nothing to do with the rest of the costume). In the worst cases, the stitches are (generally) too far apart and the monofiliament may be pushing out in loops, possibly in more than one place. Also some raw chiffon edges may be showing. If you have a sewing machine that does a zig zag stitch you can fairly easily fix this yourself. You have to push/pull the monofilament loops back in, then sew with a cross stitch over the areas where the stitches are so wide apart, centering the stitches over the monfilament. I did this successfully to several skirts. I rolled the fabric one more time (very tight and small) over the monofilament to take care of the areas where the raw chiffon edges showed. I ended up just redoing almost the whole hem on some, on others was able to "patch". Tedious but not rocket science if you have basic skills with sewing machine.

Sizing:
> Click For explanation of sizing, how to apply it to you, also some tips on altering. VERY HELPFUL
Please order by NUMBER of the bra (1, 2, etc.), you can add the size if you like but it's clearer and faster to use the number. Thanks.
RE. "Moving cups out" to get to a larger band size: cups are connected by a very short 1/4" wide piece. If you can use (not necessarily with any great ability; these things aren't put together delecately) a needle and thread and seam picker, it's easy to loosen lining to get at connector, undo it, move cups further apart, re-stitch. You may need to get something a little longer than the existing connector (bias tape is handy and probably comes in orange; ask at your local fabric store if you don't know what it is).
SOLD Should fit range including 32 B/small C, 34 B. Move cups out a little to get to 36 A/small B.
2) SOLD Should fit range including 32 B/C, 34 A+/B+. Move cups out a little to get to 36 A+/B+.
4) SOLD Should fit range including 32 C/small D, 34 B/C, narrow 36 B. Move cups out a little to get to regular 36 B/B+/possibly small C
5) SOLD Same as 4.
Belts
Belt fastens on left side, are straight across front. It's possible to line up one of the crosses in the center front, but absolutely not necessary, so belts can be adjusted (by overlapping) significantly without destroying symmetry.
SOLD 31"
3) SOLD 35"
4) SOLD 35"
5) SOLD36"
Skirts
All skirt tops (pull on, cased elastic) are elastic relaxed = 28", stretches to 38".
Skirt lengths: all lengths are the same, about 36"/37" (not either or, it's just difficult to get an exact measurement with the flounce and there is some variation on an individual skirt).

If any question arises, the person who pays at least the merchandise price in full for the costume gets the costume (must follow up with shipping payment, if paying separately). Asking for shipping cost or asking for a costume to be held or promising you're going to pay do not hold a costume.
Email inquiries if possible and appropriate, it is much easier for me to quickly answer emails vs. phone calls. Please include both the number and the NAME of the costume you are asking about. Don't forget your ZIP CODE (just your city won't do it) if you want shipping cost.
