October 18-20, 2002, Joharah International's weekend seminar and shows with Egyptian choreographer Raqia Hassan -- Karolinka and intermediate students Tammy, Pamela, Beth, and Annie performed in the Saturday night show. We were invited at the last minute to perform, and the girls did an absolutely amazing job. Besides marathon rehearsals many nights for a couple of weeks, the girls debuted new costumes (by Joharah, of course), which were also absolutely amazing! Raqia Hassan, renowned instructor and choreographer (as well as producer of the now-annual Ahlan Wa Salan festival in Egypt), was unparalleled as usual. Thanks to Joharah for a great weekend, and to my girls for their incredible patience and hard work.
